Moxie Swap Mission Statement

The Moxie Swap is an event experience that supports the community while encouraging women to grow in their personal style, their look, their moxie.

What is the Moxie Swap?

Meet the Team:

Moxie Swap is a one day “Pay It Forward” style event involving local boutiques and community donations that benefits Wellspring.  Wellspring is the domestic violence and sexual assault services provider for Saratoga County residents. Women all over the Capital Region are encouraged to continue donating their gently used items from their closet. This unique collection, packed with great labels at killer prices, will be tastefully displayed for a one day shopping affair open to the public. Date TBA. This will be a wonderful shopping day affair full of great prices on a variety of labels.

Often many women are intimidated by shopping and entering stores. Many have no idea what compliments them and so many women have poor images about themselves which can make the whole experience very unpleasant.

Therefore, in addition to creating this amazing one day event to support a truly great cause, we are also striving in the up coming months months to create more awareness as to what the local stores have to offer. We want women to feel good about what they are wearing and realize it doesn't take anymore effort than they are already putting forth. It is our commitment to support women to find their own personal style and flair. We wish to highlight this uniqueness and make it their strongest asset, the signature of their style.

Brandon Dewyea, Founder

Brandon is an Image Maven with her business, Moxie. She greatly enjoys working with men and women to help them find their own unique, individual style for their personal and professional life. Brandon believes working with an image consultant isn't about revamping everything about the individual. It's about unveiling the best version of oneself. It brings her incredible joy to witness someone feeling empowered and loving themselves. She loves supporting them on this journey and feels honored that she is granted access to the vulnerability that often transpires when fostering a trusted relationship.

Brandon has long loved the concept of reusing items. Having grown up with parents that exposed her to great experiences, she appreciates purchasing items new and also loves searching out pre-loved unique pieces just waiting to be adored and appreciated.

The idea of doing an event like the Moxie Swap has been percolating ever since Brandon moved to the area three years ago. Having attended a community event in her hometown she was excited to provide Saratoga with a valuable and fun, local event. Brandon shares, " I truly value the magic that can take place when individuals come together. The concept of passing on pre-loved clothes really resonated with me as we have so much "stuff" in our society. I am honored to have connected with some wonderful women of the community where together we came up with the great ideas of providing an empowering style event. I am really excited about connecting with the women of the community on a deeper level."
